Learn About Us & Dr. Don Ridgell

Dr. Don Ridgell was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and grew up in Greenville, South Carolina. After graduation from J.L Mann High School, he went on to receive his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Clemson University—and then continued his education at The Medical University of South Carolina – College of Dental Medicine. He received his certification in Prosthodontics from the University of North Carolina.

Dr. Ridgell is unique in the field of dentistry. In fact, he is the city of Greenville’s first Prosthodontist with a stellar resume that spans three decades. In addition, he has been the examiner for the SC State Dental Board of Examiners to prosthodontic candidates who wish to practice in South Carolina. He is a member of a number of professional associations, including the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP), American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (AAFP), SC Dental Association (SCDA) and the Greenville County Dental Society.

In addition to his thriving practice, he is also a clinical professor for the MUSC – School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ridgell opened his practice in 1988 and was named American College of Prosthodontics Private Practitioner for the Southeast region of the US in 2017.

In his private life, Don is married to Holly. They have two sons, Kenny and Daniel. Kenny is a local business owner of Ridge Media, a digital marketing agency. Kenny is a graduate of College of Charleston and is married to Hillary. Daniel has a residential construction company, specializing in timber-framing. He is a timber framing graduate of American College of the Building Arts.
